This is a great RV park and value! We will return. The spaces are shaded and private. There was plenty of room for our vehicle. The space was large enough for easy in and out the slide out. There are no fire rings. We spent most of our time at the beach. They provide a free tram to and from the private beach just .7 of a mile away. We thought it was easy to load up for the day and walk to the tram stop at the top of the hour. But if you don't want to wait you can ride your bike. The walk wasn't bad if you don't have a load. We spent one day at the pool. It was clean and well maintained. The campground location is close to grocery, bars, public beaches, golf resorts, and restaurants.
This campground was okay. All sites were dirt and gravel. All sites had shade. We were in site number 103. This site did not have sewer hookup even though others did. The bathroom and shower house was clean but old and worn like the entire campground. Our site and all others that we saw were flat and easy to get into. Lots of space for tow vehicle and guest vehicle. Every vehicle that entered Lake Lanier Islands must pay an $8.00 fee at the entry gate to the park. This was not included in the campground fee and not mentioned at time of reservation. Alcoholic beverages are allowed in the campground but no glass. It was nice to be close to the water park. We spent one day there. It was an extra fee but worth it. No coolers allowed through the gate to the water park. Go early to claim chairs and shade if you desire.
This is a beautiful campground. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return often. The parking sites are tight and may be a challenge for slideouts. Our tow vehicle just fit in the driveway. Additional parking is available at the boat ramp. I think all sites are on the lake. However, climbing the hill back up to your site after accessing the lake may be a challenge. The drive to access the campground is a mountain road. Be prepared for sharp inclines, declines, and turns.
